Nothing special about this place. They have a nice photo of sumptuous-looking idlis on their web site but they don’t make idlis. The dosas are average; sambhar is mediocre. Service is nothing special and ambience is claustrophobic. Do not expect much if you are Indian.

Very good service; staff were very polite and the food was great: not too hot but packed with flavour. We ordered two curries with rice and two naan breads. Safe to say the servings are generous, absolutely stuffed! Only thing that let the food down slightly was the keema naan, but that’s being picky. Overall very happy we found this little gem. The price was amazingly cheap too! Only around £27.00 with two drinks!

Cocum is an amazing South Indian restaurant with flavorful, well-prepared food and acceptable(slightly below average) service. It is good for smaller parties and will work for larger groups if you reserve in advance.(However, having come with a group of ten on a day in which the restaurant was full, I noticed that the size of our party seemed to overwhelm the servers at times, even though we didn’t have any complicated or unusual requests) While I’d usually subtract one star for the service gaffes we experienced here(like waiting more than half an hour, and through multiple requests, to be served tap water), the food is good enough that I’m adding the final star back on. This is one of the few places that I encountered in Cambridge that I would rate highly even were I in a city with consistently great food options, hence my excitement.

The décor could use an upgrade, but the food was delicious. Been there twice with very different experiences regarding the friendliness and attention of the waiters.
