A Waller & Son

Moved 3 weeks ago to Cambridge from USA but we’re originally from Glasgow. My husband found A Waller online and tried their sausages and topside which he said were superb (I’m a vegetarian !). Also as Burns night was round the corner found out they were making their own haggis– picked 4 x 1lb puddings up for my husband and son which they said was the best they’ve ever had. Will be walking here every Saturday from now on!

This is my favourite butchers in Cambridge — I used to live just down the road from the premises and still regularly make a special trip to stock up on supplies, even though I have moved six miles away!
The meat for sale is of the highest quality, most of which is sourced locally, yet surprisingly good value. I can particularly recommend the different varieties of home-​made sausage on offer, the steak mince and stewing beef as well as the home cooked ham. They also have a selection of cheeses for sale as well as fresh free-​range eggs and a small supply of basic groceries, such as spices, condiments and freshly pressed fruit juices.
The butchers who work behind the counter are able to tell you exactly where each cut comes from as well as how best to prepare it! They are always willing to source a special piece for a dinner party, given a few days notice, as well as taking orders for Christmas roasts.
