Every time our lass and I fancy a ruby we chat all week about the many curry houses on our doorstep in BOT but always end up back at Manzil. The nosebag is always excellent as is the service and atmosphere.

Went for our Friday night date, catweasel was very excited that he could go to this place, but we were both intrigued by this Indian restaurant. the first impression of this place is admittedly not very high, I expected a very small truckers café sytle to it, no atmosphere and poor décor, but I was pleasantly suprised! this restaurant is a good size, and has a nice feel to it, I was extremly impressed at the bubble water Walls. me and catweasel decided to have a set menu for 2 that was £22 for the both of us, a very reasonable price, and it reached our high standards, our starter was a combination of chicken and onion Bajis and popadoms, then our main was a lamb and chicken curries, rice and nann bread, both not to spicy and tasted amazing. our service was very quick and polite and we felt we were looked after well. we were also glad after our meal we didn’t have that uncomfortable full feeling. I deffiently recommend this place, for couples, family’s and large groups.

The Manzil is a popular Indian restaurant, just on the periphery of Burton town centre. There is a car park to the front of the restaurant, but being on Guild Street means that leaving the car park is tricky, as this is one of the main routes into Burton. The inside of the Manzil is bright and modern, and the staff are welcoming. There are some tables near the front of the restaurant, but the main eating area is at the back. The middle section houses a well stocked bar and area where people can wait for their takeaways. The well decorated, and modern restaurant area is bright and spacious, and could probably house more tables. The feeling of not being crowded to eat your meal though is welcome. We plumped for the Manzil Mixed Biryani, as recommended by a previous reviewer and a Special Chicken Korma. The biryani was full of flavour and a great choice, the special korma was interesting with not only chicken, but also chunks of banana, pineapple and peach! We were never rushed and course pacing was perfect, overall a good night.

Don and his team always give you a warm welcome. A lovely spacious restaurant helps you settle down and experience thier wonderful indian cuisine. Me and the wife have been regulars there now for a few years and have never gone away hungry or disapointed about the meal. Overall excellent food, great service and value for money. Manzil Mix Biryani and a litre bottle of House White Please! Oh! And a Peshwari Naan. Yum! Yum!

The foods still good but its not quite the same now they have moved to the new premises. Prices seem to have gone up abit aswell. The service is not quite as personal now they have a bigger restaurant but nevertheless the staff are still pleasant enough and friendly. Worth it for a good curry in pleasant surroundings

This Indian Restaurant has been going for as long as I can remember. Even though the small precinct it’s situated in consists almost entirely of boarded-up shops now, it’s still there and thank goodness! This restaurant is a real gem. Like most towns, Burton has it’s fair share of Indian Restaurants … many have cropped up recently, but none compare to this place. The food is second-to-none, the waiters incredibly polite and helpful and it’s still good value. They do the best onion bhajis I’ve ever tasted! If you’re near by, do visit … you won’t regret it! By the way, the restaurant is shortly moving to a new location I gather … in Union Street I believe.
