So all you can eat at £14.99 where can you go wrong! Almost nowhere if truth be known, the food was plentiful and filling. Unlike some buffet places I have been to this one you actually order what you want and they cook it bring it to out for you. The service was not the quickest but it was ok. Basically you order your starters they bring it out, you eat it, you want more you order more starters. Once you have had enough of starters you move onto a middle course which once again is cooked to order. I did wonder how they would cope if it was busy as there were only a hand full of people in the restaurant and a the service was not the quickest but the food was always hot when it arrived, which is always a bonus! We did dwell on the middle course for a bit, but as with food you always find you have to move on to the next course. We again ordered a variety of mains, and the food was tasteful and bearing in mind you could order more it was plentiful. The only exception was the fact that they advertise a pad thai. Its not pad thai it is a chow mien at best. To say I was disappointed was an understatement, I was looking forward to the Pad Thai and then I saw it and all was lost. They may well have got 4 stars as I liked the way they had the restaurant set up the service was ok and the food was good, but if you are going to advertise a dish please please please actually serve the dish…

Having the food freshly cooked for you and in the right quantities sets this restaurant apart from other buffets. The food is good and so is the service.

This is an interesting variant of the«all-you-can-eat» Chinese buffet meal. For £13.99 you can order as much as you want from the menu(a few dishes at a time) and it is then freshly cooked for you. The menu is pretty standard Chinese with a bit of Thai and Japanese if that takes your fancy and the décor is modern and easy on the eye. Most importantly the food was fresh and well cooked. I would definitely go again.

The Royal Harris is a chinese restaurant situated in Burton on Trent, midway between the railway station and the town hall. It is chinese a la carte restaurant that also has Japanese, Malaysian, Cantonese and Thai dishes. It works in a slighly different way to most chinese restaurants, you pay a set price for the food(drinks are extra): £11.99 during the week and £12.99 on Fridays and the weekend. Then rather than going up with a plate and piling it high, as is the norm, you order your dishes from a menu. Firstly starters, which include variety platters and sushi. If you eat all your starters you can order more, or progress to the middle course. Again you choose your dishes, from a list including Yuk Sung, Aromatic Duck and Chilli Beef, ordering more if you finish. Finally the main course, which operates the same as the other courses, but you only order the number of dishes to match the number of people in your party. Again though if you finish them, you can order more, and they don’t have to be the same as your initial choices. Personally I found this preferable, to the traditational ‘all you can eat’ style, I will definitely be returning. The menu has a surprisingly wide variety of choice for such a scheme too. The restaurant is modern and uncluttered, and the staff are friendly and helpful, even though they are always busy
