I visited this excellent pub on a Saturday lunchtime with my brother & sister-in-law, to have a quick meal and a drink, and we were all very impressed. The service was friendly and efficient, the setting pleasant(we ate in the modern and nicely decorated conservatory at the rear of the pub, with paintings for sale adorning the stone walls), the food was marvellous(the menu is extensive, if a little pricey) — I can recommend the beef bap — and the real ale range was top-notch. For you beer buffs, as this is a Moorhouses pub, there was Pride of Pendle on offer, as well as Bowland Hen Harrier(I tried this pint, it was in fine order), and Bank Top Pavilion IPA. A heartily recommended place for some decent nosh and a pint.
