If you’ve ever visited Burnley then you’ll probably have noticed the abundance of Working Men’s Clubs that are spotted all over this Northern town. My flat is sandwiched between two with another literally a few metres away. This is one of my ‘locals’ although I have only ever visited on a handful of occasions. As you might expect from a working man’s club, it’s quite large and sprawling and tends to attract an older and more mature clientele. On the weekends, there’s usually a ‘turn’ which I can often hear if my flat window is open. Sometimes the singer is half decent, often they’re atrocious and I regularly hear the sound of some Celine Dion song or other being crucified as I sit at my laptop on a Sunday afternoon. But if you’re looking for a cheap drink or two and some questionable entertainment, then you might still want to visit the 110 club and it certainly provides an authentic working man’s club experience for the uninitiated.

I love this place. its full of old people but they are so lovely. They have entertainment on and bingo so its a laugh really. Drinks are cheap too and its only a stroll from town. You could come here for a few drinks with your nan before meeting your mates in town! They also have a function room for hire which many of the young ‘uns use.
