I went for Christmas dinner(one before last). We paid about £60 a head(possibly more) and about £30 for my son(who at the time was 1 and barely ate a thing!!) I can’t speak for other times of the year but I would not recommend eating here for special occasions. They didn’t have a clue who ordered what the food was awful and the service almost none existent basically we paid a lot of money for something that would have been nicer had we bought it from a station café. OH and despite having booked in advance with plenty of notice — they didn’t have everything on the menu.

The Inn on the Wharf is definitely one of the nicer pubs in Burnley located, surprisingly enough, on the canal. It’s a little out of the town centre and up the rather steep hill of Manchester road but it’s a nice traditional pub that’s definitely work a visit if you’re looking for a more refined and relaxed atmosphere than you’ll find in the town centre pubs. The Inn on the Wharf also serves a tasty range of food and the Sunday carvery tastes fantastic and often provides great value for money when there are offers on.
