A treasure of a tearoom. Victorian style, with a very friendly husband and wife team dressed accordingly. Delicious home made light meals, snacks and hot drinks are elegantly served up on Royal Albert Old Country Roses china. The quaint surroundings are both spacious and homely with parking outside. I highly recommend The Tally Ho, it is a real treat, not to be missed and we are so lucky to have it here on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. Simply a unique and delightful experience.

We have visited a few times now and been completely satisfied. Tried many a full afternoon tea and the quality has been very good. But on our last visit my wife had a toasted tea cake which was stale. Shame really as this would have been noticed when preparing the teacake for toasting and we should have been offered some alternative. probably will not visit again.

I am finding this thread to be hilarious. Just can’t keep away. Sunday Lamdin, you frequently state that all the bad reviews posted about your tea rooms are from one person. Why would one person do that to you? What have you done to provoke such a response? Is your food so bad that just one person would engage in a personal vendetta against your food. Or is your food really bad?

I really enjoyed my lunch at this tea rooms today. The tearooms are really quaint and pretty, and the waitresses were really friendly and polite. I really don’t know what the negative reviews are about, I didn’t experience any of this. I had sandwiches and syrup sponge for desert, and really liked the generous portions! Lovely café, reasonable prices, I highly recommend you ignore the negative reivews and give it a go!

What a dump I have passed by this place many times and decided to try it out this lunchtime. Wish I hadn’t now. The food is terrible. The couldn’t even get their signature cream teas right. What a dive!
