Nice local history museum housing a wide range of topics from war to lace. Not much space is devoted to the history of the jail itself but what there is is well done. Worth a visit.

The Old Goal Museum is the dominant feature of Buckingham town. It is an imposing stone building in eighteenth century gothic style and look like a castle with parapets all the way around the top of the walls. It is at the main intersection of all roads into and out of town through the middle of Buckingham it does make driving interesting if not a little hazardous on the intersection. That said it is worth a visit. All the cells have been converted into little history rooms with examples of various items from times past including a lot of clothing. As usual with all such tourist destinations it ends in a curio shop with an interesting selection of mementos of Buckingham.
