Let’s get started. Firstly, if you live nearby and are at a cross roads about where to eat for either lunch or dinner or even take away(yes I did say take away), just go here. «Wow what an assertive review, darling, I’m pretty sure the guy writing this review wor-« I’m saying go because of a variety of reaons but most of all the pizza’s. Just get one, it will be the best pizza you’re going to get in Dorset and probably the surrounding counties too. I think the there was a string of four or five visits where I just exclusively ordered pizza. «Surely if it’s this good it’s going to be pretty pricey right?» On average you’re looking to pay £11−13 pounds for a pizza which in my opinion for a wood fired pizza of any standard isn’t that much nowadays. This isn’t just an average pizza though and is most definitely worth the money. *Get the chorizo one get the chorizo one get the chorizo one.* «This guy keeps on pushing the pizza, there has to be other stuff on the menu.» Correct, after having the same pizza over and over again(I don’t normally do this it was just that good) I opted for the chargrilled chicken which is up there with some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. If, like me, you’re not that roast loving kind of person and are kind of bored of the whole roast chicken thing get this,(if you’re not opting for a pizza). «I only see four stars though you’ve obviously hiding something from us you’ve made it seem great so far» Well noticed, a couple things annoy me(annoy is a strong word but hopefully you see where I’m coming from). I could be really cynical and say sometimes there are a few too many kids which are noisy but there are kids everywhere nowadays so I’m going to let that one slide(This is only really a case at lunch). Now, you may of been on their site, looked at the menu and seen a burger. It’s not bad at all, a lot of people order it and are happy with it. However, on the menu it says«At the Chapel burger, Westcombe Cheddar, skinny fries *seems like the caps lock key is being randomly pressed but whatever*. You’ll be happy to know that all those things are on the burger. I ordered it, I believe on my very first visit and it arrived, big bowl of chips which is great, everything’s fine. Until, I discover this mustardy saucy relishy paste in the burger. Why? Just Why? It doesn’t need it at all. In my honest opinion if you need to add any relish of funky sauce to a beef burger you don’t have enough faith in the quality and taste of the rest of the ingredients. It’s just such a let down because the burgers of a decent standard and it just feels tainted by this sauce which THEYDON’T EVENLISTINTHEMENU. That’s what pissed me off, if they said relish or whatever on the menu I would of asked for it on the side. If the restaurant reads this review, add whatever sauce you put on it to the menu description for the burger or even better remove it all together, it really doesn’t need it. There’s a reason fast food chains have to stick pickles and mayo and the rest into their«products». Chips range from 6⁄10 to 10⁄10 based on how recently they’ve been cooked. Get a rediculous amount of chips as a side. I haven’t seen anyone finish them single handedly, not that I’m complaining. It’s way better than having next to none. Nothing wrong with décor, I’m a boring guy so don’t expect me to go into tones of detail about this. Oh yeah, phone up and book a table. You don’t really want to be stranded in Bourton for too long with nothing to do if you get my drift. I don’t work there by the way.

What a beautiful place! As the name rather obviously implies, this is a restaurant/tea room in a former chapel. What is also unique is that they have a rather upmarket a la carte menu as well as a more affordable pizza menu, thus catering for all tastes and budgets. I came for afternoon tea and was happy to explore the building(check out the most beautiful toilets!) — unfortunately, we ran out of time to walk around the grounds. Apparently, Bruton is quite well known but I had never been — fully understand the village’s attraction and look forward to returning for a more in-depth visit.

Arrived late for lunch at around 3:00 so only pizza available but the best pizza I’ve had in years! Service very friendly and the other plates of food visible looked excellent. Would definitely come again.

Been here a few times. Always excellent food and service. Lots of local ingredients well cooked. Great bar downstairs and nice rooms if you’re out too late.

Oh gosh how disappointing, it looks the part beautiful setting views across the countryside, but bit by bit the cracks start to appear. As the saying goes promises much delivers little. Like a film set it appears to be a bistro but is actually not meant to be actually used. Three cooks are visible and yet they let pass food that was less than acceptable, to me this always indicates a top down problem as no one is keeping and marking standards, no pride in what is being sent out. And they are not shy about charging £8 for a small plate of mozzarella and tomatoe and let’s face it you don’t need to have trained years to make that but still it was so cold and therefore flavourless, I didn’t have this but my friend had and nearly had an ice cream headache from the coldness. The meat wasn’t rested so bled over the plate very unappetising. I could go on but will spare you.

Very disappointing. The place is fantastic layout spacious and bright. The food was poor. The burger was so salty, the chips were mush and all different sizes. It was expensive for the quality of food. I really wanted to like ATC but sadly I won’t be going back
