We come here quite a bit and have experienced both lunch and supper several times. The place is nice(sometimes a little cold, especially by the door or in the annex part) but light, airy and generally with a good atmosphere. The food is quite lovely. Having tried almost everything, I highly recommend the prawn linguine and the spicy sausage linguine(it is definitely spicy!) I like the lasagne — it’s quite wide and not very deep which makes it crunchy on top and very tasty. If you want to go for an ultra low calorie option, the chicken or fish skewers are delicious. If you swap the potatoes for broccoli and ditch the creamy sauce, then it’s a delicious lighter alternative to pasta or pizza. The staff are really friendly, but they are rushed off of their feet. They try so hard and look exhausted most of the time. This means that mistakes can happen and food does take a long time to arrive. If only Zizzi actually staffed their restaurant properly, it would be a spectacular experience.

I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening and it was really busy. Luckily we’ve managed to get a table, even though we were a group of nine. The staff were really friendly, though a little bit stressed. They seemed a bit under-staffed; they probably didn’t expect to be so busy on a Wednesday evening. As I said, despite all, staff were friendly and fairly efficient. I suggest you book a table if you want to go, just to make sure you’ll get a table. The restaurant was pretty noisy, so maybe not the ideal place for a romantic dinner for two. Unfortunately the food was a bit disappointing. The pizza margarita was really bland, other Italian chain restaurants manage to give a simple pizza like that a bit more flavour. I had the the Spaghetti Zucchine, which I have to say was very bland and plain. I had to add quiet a bit of Parmesan, salt and pepper to get a little bit of flavour to the dish. I expected delicate flavours of lemon, cream, fresh courgette, but unfortunately I got a bland cream sauce and with the slightest hint of lemon. Service was fine, but shame about the food…

Hmm Zizzi I wouldnt go to again. The food is bland and plain. Maybe it’s just my tastebuds or the dry bread they give you for a small starter.

Excellent zizzi’s. Really friendly staff and 25% off food with voucher cloud. Serano ham rocket and mozzarela pizza was brilliant. Plus gotta love peroni!

Much like every other Zizzi’s, it is a nice atmosphere and nice staff. Doesn’t feel like it used to be a pub though, but more like a new, modern restaurant. No parking available after they sold off the land! Close enough to buses, station and other clubs/pubs though.

Located near the Odeon cinema is this really popular branch of the top restaurant chain. It’s very, very busy in the evenings and you’re lucky to get a table then, so I’d suggest calling up and booking a table beforehand. The service is good and everyone is very friendly and efficient. The staff are also quite nice and helpful when it comes to making special requests for your food(i.e. asking for no mushrooms in a dish). I love the brushetta genovese and really recommend it, there’s nothing like the lovely chicken in pesto on lightly toasted bread. Also the chicken rissotto is nice, and the lasagne’s not too bad either. I REALLY recommend the choloclate torte for dessert, it really is the best thing in the world! Once they even let us have it as take away as I was full but couldn’t leave without a portion! And a bailey’s coffee to finish with is perfect. Sure, c.£9 for a dish can be a burden on your wallet, but if you dine here on a day when special offers such as 2for1 meals is on, it really is a hell of a bargain. Use the residential streets for parking, otherwise it’s pay and display on the high street
