Village Veg

Inside and out, this is a good old fashioned greengrocers.
I like it for a variety of reasons: firstly, they stock a good range of fruit and veg, much of it from local suppliers. Secondly, although not important to everyone, being a mum with young kids and a buggy, the in and out doors and nice wide aisle around the shop makes it easy to access. Thirdly, the produce is of good quality and reasonably priced, and finally, they produce a regular newsletter telling you what’s in season and providing menu ideas.
The only reason I haven’t given this place a full 5 stars is because the staff don’t always seem very welcoming — I’m not expecting the red carpet treatment or anything, but a smile would be nice!
