This ind. park in Longwell green is a bit of an oddity. But it’s the nearest cinema(which incidentally sells wine.) Anyway, I digress… Another review of Sunday lunches…(yes that’s pretty much my social life now, deal with it) I’ve been accused very recently of being relentlessly negative… pfft so here are the plus points… 1.) It was bafflingly cheap. I mean bizzaro bill. Two people, two courses and a round of drinks and I got change from £15… 2.) The Carvery(did I mention that) was pretty good. Beef, roasties, yorkshire pud, the usual stuff. All fine n dandy. Good job chef. 3.) Did I mention it was £15 for two people??? Ok…In the minus column. It’s clearly marketed at families. Lots and lots of babies, toddlers and children, stressed out looking Mums and defeated looking father types. Tres depressing. So pick a table where you’re facing the wall and take something to drown out the screaming. But come on it’s £15! I’d much rather eat a good carvery than sit in a f*cking Nando’s…(Last time I was coerced into a Nando’s it was busy and the queue faced our table. 35 mins of people staring at you. Willing you to choke on chicken and or finish your food so they can sit down. f*ck that) Anyway…Again.I digress.
Can’t remember what beers they had on tap. I’m guessing if you’ve got kids your driving anyway so will be on the pepsi… So good value, food whilst not white bear(my gold standard) good. perfectly fine and if you’ve got a family your not going to mind the screaming.
