What a shame — Sunday Carvery is nothing like it is stated.
Found vegetables to be undercooked (broccoli so hard I could not cut it); Yorkshire Puddings like large bread rolls — all doughy and impossible to cut; Gravy luke-​warm (straight from the ‘heated’ tureen!). Tables not clean and crockery dirty. Manager off hand and not customer-​friendly.
On the plus side — nice friendly welcome from bar staff!
Shan’t be going back again.

Two words sum this place up: PUB QUIZ. I grew up down the road from here, but it’s only since I’ve moved to London that I’ve started to frequent this lovely country pub whenever I’m back in the south west. The pub quiz on Monday nights is amazing — loads of cash prizes on offer and the music round turns into a disco! Sounds strange, but it works! Plus they do curries for a fiver before the pub quiz as well. If you’re clever enough to get a cash prize in the quiz, you could end up making that fiver back, or a little profit!
