This is a pub with two bars at the far end of the town. The bar on the left hand side as you go in is the public bar, which is very lively and is popular with local characters and people looking for a bit of a chat and a laughf. The bar on the right hand side is the lounge, which is more sedate, with hops hanging from the ceiling, and is more the pub resteraunt side of things. If your are looking for a quiet chat, or want to read a magazine as you have a nice glass of wine. Not really the sort of place I would choose to go to but very friendly inside and very welcoming. The boys tell me the beer and ales are good, and they seem to be a pretty good price as well. I have found that the futher away you get from the centre of Bristol the drinks get cheaper and the places become more welcoming, it is not always the case but the Trout Tavern confirms my theory.
