A new venture from the owner of Lebanese gem Sands, the Mezza Bar serves up lighter dishes to the lunchtime crowd. Located on bustling St Michaels Hill, its bright blue façade is eyecatching indeed. Regrettably without seating, this is a place to pick up your falafel fix and go. It’s a shame you can’t while away the afternoon over the range of tapas(it strikes me as a bizarre concept to serve takeaway dishes in a takeaway restaurant with almost no seating but only time will tell how the Mezza Bar fares) As with most Lebanese restaurants, the food is impeccable. Personally I’m just glad to see this incredible cuisine getting the recognition it deserves.

The Mezza Bar stands out from the crowd on St Michael’s Hill. Not only does the bright bubblegum blue strike your eyes, but the sign at the front mesmerises even more. Stating the all– important facts, the sign reads, «11am-11pm. Shisha!» The place is very intimate and you can expect to find the seats are usually taken up by older men who spend entire mornings and afternoons there.
