Lovely Bakery with a good variety of rolls, bread, loaves and cakes; Sensibly priced too so get down there and support your local suppliers.

This is a great little independent bakery, that has managed to keep business going despite being a little way off the main busy high streets of staple hill and Fishponds. They offer a good selection of freshly made sandwiches and rolls, I had a ham and cheese sandwich on granary bread, which was fresh and tasty. It cost £2.50 which I still think is a little steep but seems about average these days! You will also find a good selection of bread, cakes and pasties. You can even get your cakes specially made for a special occasion. You won’t find any culinary magic at this place but you will get a good old fashioned bakery, with friendly staff who know their locals and their food.

Cute as pie building that looks like something out of a fairytale — no witches inside but plenty of gingerbread men! Fantastic bakery with good bread and amazing selection of cakes and buns. This is justifiably busy particularly on a Saturday morning. Find it opposite the Downend Tavern — it is set back and teensy so it is easy to walk past if you hadn’t noticed the people streaming in and out.
