Love this place. I’m a super snob when it comes to launderette’s and none in the town i was staying were cool enough. Needed a launderette urgently today after many months on vacation. Well worth the 75 mile roundtrip for great service, friendly and a cool place to hangout and drink coffee (if you choose).
Thanks guys for creating such a great place and for the great service.

Outstanding price and service! We needed to do laundry mid-point in our UK vacation, and I found The Clean Bean on Unilocal.For only about 1 GBP more than doing the laundry ourselves at another coin laundry in town, we were able to drop off our laundry with Clean Bean, have them do it (including removing a stain from a pair of pants and separating out a few items that we didn’t want dried) and pick it up w/in 24 hours, finished and folded. Friendly service. Clean Bean’s website at
describes available options such as (1) doing your own laundry, (2) doing your own, but having them transfer to dryer for a small fee if you don’t want to wait, (3) having them do it in 48 hours, and (4) fee supplements for shorter turnarounds, adding colorfast tablet, stain removal, sorting, and other special services.

I don’t have a local launderette, so whichever one I used I had to drive to, I picked «The Clean Bean» because of the reviews on here, I have to say they’re spot on, staff great, machines fab and with wifi, a café, garden, toy box for the kids and nice clean loo, my visit to this launderette wasn’t quite the chore I remember it being in other establishments. My 5 year old wants to to go back!

The clean been isn’t exactly my nearest place but it’s totally worth driving 10 mins for.
They people who run the Bean are the loveliest! Always really helpful for people that don’t have a clue (like me!) and always have time for a natter.
They have internet facilities as well so you can surf the web whilst you wait for your wash for a small cost… and i have breaking news… they give you free jelly beans!
Won me over in a heartbeat.
I like the play on words as well, clean bean, free jelly beans…
it’s always really clean there and it’s just a cute, cosie more modern version of a launderette.

The Clean Bean is not my nearest launderette but it is the one I always go to, even though I have to trudge there on foot. The reason? It’s got everything you could ever need in a launderette. It’s staffed, so you can always get change and there’s someone to help if you have a problem. Problems are unlikely though as the washers are new and state of the art. It has internet, which is free if you’re doing your washing. There’s proper coffee and light snacks and a tv and back garden area and a toilet too. And the people there are great. I have seen the future of launderettes and it is the Clean Bean!

Huge bonus points for the following:
* WiFi. Yay… I can uze laptop.
* It’s also A CAFE! Fresh coffee and cakes. Not vending machine but a genuine espresso bar out the back. With funky purple cushion seating.
* Manned. No launderette mysteries. If something goes wrong the guy’s right there.
* Eco friendly detergents. Stuff that doesn’t sweep persistent pollutants down the drain and out to sea.
* Little jars: if you forget your laundry powder you can buy a little refillable jar right there. And if you like it you can buy it full size.
* Radio. Classic rock of some kind. «Walk this way» now playing…
* Laundry fiction. (??!) A series of books with the word ‘launderette’ or ‘laundromat’ in the title.
* Cinnamon rolls. They rock. Why doesn’t every coffeeshop have them? They’re so ‘fika’.
It’s right next to Café Lazz where I usually go for coffee but I might go here instead now, laundry or no laundry. Cool.
Only downside: if you come in winter, wear your coat!

The Clean Bean has everything you need to make wash day more enjoyable. A great place to do your laundry, relax with a freshly ground coffee in the back patio area while checking your email. All very reasonably priced. Beats just starting at your washing tumble. I love the laid back but colourful interior. I recommend :)
