This Tesco store is in a dark area of Bristol called Eastville, a sense of foreboding exists in this area which cannot be ignored. Its not a particularly safe area of Bristol and there are alot of weird people hanging around. There is an ethnic mix using this stores so expect to see alot of extended families shopping here and generally clogging up the aisles. It can be chaotic at times, couple that with the car parking and checkout lines expect to waste alot of your time either hanging around of negotiating the car exits. I am surprised this store is so busy as it is in a very traffic chaotic area, Other Tescos in Bristol do not suffer this problem along with the car exhaust smells Not for me

Located just off the M32, this large Tesco is easy to get to by car, and there are bus stops at the edge of the car park for those using public transport. This is a huge store with clothes, housewares and electricals on one side. They have all the things the larger Tesco stores have: in-house bakery, deli counter, butcher, fresh fish, and hot meals to take home. It’s well-stocked with just about everything you might need food-wise and has a large ethic section. A section of Polish foods has been added in the past year. I used to do my weekly shop here in person, but now use their home delivery service every week. The store staff and delivery staff are friendly and helpful, and some go above and beyond to make your shopping a bit more pleasant. At times, the parking lot is very full(especially at weekends) and is also home to a section of large recycling bins for plastics, textiles and the basics of glass, paper and metal.

This is fairly typical of a largish Tesco store. Tesco prices are reasonable, and they have some good special offers on. I have only been here when stopping off for some food on the way home from Ikea. They also have a petrol station and once again, this is reasonably priced. The staff there were ok. Nothing outstanding to report, but nothing bad either.

This Tesco store is absolutely massive! It’s a Tesco Extra, and has a café on the upper level(always handy for a cheap meal or snack) while the food, clothing etc are all on the lower level. The store does get very very busy, but as it’s next to Ikea and the Eastgate Centre it’s not surprising that people want to combine trips. There is often a long queue to even get in to the centre at busy times. The store itself is well stocked and the staff are helpful. It can sometimes seem a little untidy, especially in the clothing area, but it’s probably inevitable at busy times of day. The car park could be a little bigger, but otherwise it’s a good place to grocery shop. It’s also accessible by a bus route.
