A great place to walk past on a Saturday morning. They sell burgers, paella and sometimes bacon sandwiches freshly made and cooked outside. Great if you want a relaxed stroll down Glos road which i do :) They have a HUGE selection of meats from sausages, burgers, faggots to cuts of meats. Any cheese you could think of as well as homemade chutneys and jams. It is expensive and there are others cheaper, just as good on gloucester road. Having said that i think its the lovely experience you pay for, helpful knowledgeable butchers and the variety of items(some of which you may be able to sample) If your stuck what to cook just stroll in and have a gander i’m sure you wont be lost for long!

Bought 5 beautiful marbled rib eye steaks today(2÷4÷11) after speaking to an extremely helpful mr butcher. Brought them home cooked them after rubbing them with olive oil –absolutely delicious. This place was recommended to me after attending a ‘how to cook steak’ course at the Bordeaux Quay. I have been just once and I will definitely be going back.

Just thinking about this place makes my mouth water. Saturdays are home-made burger days at the butchers and you should expect to see a long line of hungry, salivating people queuing for a bite of their gorgeous freshly-made burgers. They have a good selection of meat, free-range and organic goods, and cheeses. The cheese is quite cheap and delicious! The place also acts as a deli and sells yummy things such as scotch eggs, jams, and other bites.

I swear this place is going to feature in my dreams! It is brillaint, a butchers, a baker and a candlestick maker!(well, not quite!) You could be forgiven for pawing at the window and looking in with wonder, but go that extra mile and try some of the beautiful jams, suculent meats or fine cheeses they have on offer. You are paying that little bit more than anywhere else, but what you are paying for is quality, and oh… what quality! Get there early on a Saturday or you may find you’ll be waiting sometime…

A butchers and a deli squashed into one place, this place comes highly recommended. The deli side of things has pickles, olives(though they’re given stiff competition by the Olive Shop here), and everything else you’d expect. Added bonuses include tapas, yum. As for the butchers, they’ve got a decent range. The focus is on free range, so not fantastically cheap. With that said, you won’t get bacon pumped full of water that shrinks to half its size in the pan, so probably worth shelling out a little bit more. Saturday is BBQ burger day. Get down there for succulent £1.50 delights. This shop has plenty of delights(just writing about it has got my mouth watering) and offers better quality than the supermarket.

Organic butchers and deli, which gets seriously jam-packed on a Saturday if only for their on-street bbq which draws people in by their nose like the Bisto kid(wow that aged me). It isn’t the cheapest but the quality is fantastic and service friendly and efficient. Worth getting their early on the weekend or try and nip there during the week when it is nice and quiet.

My, there are some nice people who spend their days cutting up flesh. This is how all delicatessens should be: very friendly, speedy service and fantastic produce. On one side of the shop is a large meat counter(I can’t recommend the sausages and handmade burgers enough), and opposite is a counter rammed with delicious cheeses, olives, and tapas. The wall in between is shelved with great pickles, chutneys, vinegars, oils, and sauces. On saturdays the shop barbecues their own burgers for £1.50, which is a great deal. Expect a queue!

Murrays is a quality free range butchers and delicatessen with a local and friendly customer service ethic. Busy counters display the appetizing cuts of meat and are enough to get the juices flowing in any hot blooded carnivore! Free range turkeys can be ordered for your Christmas dinner and Murrays even stock a range of luxury home made stuffings to go with it. The wide selection of meats include the usual chicken, lamb cutlets, bacon and juicy fat sausages but also more unusual items like ox tongue and haggis. A fine range of salamis, chorizos, smoked pork loins, cheeses and olives is stocked in the deli counter with jars of mustards, jams, sauces and spices to compliment any feast you may wish to conjure up.
