This is certainly the most ‘Clifton Village’ of all the charity shops I have been to. The clothes seem to be of a very high standard, almost like they are sent here especially from other charity shops in the city. ‘Clothes and trinkets for the ladies of Clifton Village’ could be their tagline. The window is heaving with walking sticks, reading glasses and china plates and if that doesn’t give you a big enough clue as to who their target audience is, walking into some traditional 1950s music should give you a good idea. There is a lovely atmosphere in this shop, the volunteers were laughing and joking with customers about the various records they had in stock and were sharing their memories of when they first listened to the songs on the records. The target audience did seem to be enjoying the selection of clothes and although I don’t think I would find anything that suits me they did have some funky sunglasses.

St Peter’s Hospice has about 50 shops in the Bristol area, all raising money for the charity which supports and looks after adults with a terminal illness. As expected for a charity shop in Clifton the clothes in here are of a higher standard than in other areas of Bristol. Expect to find labels including Jigsaw and the like. Also here they have CDs and some vinyl to have a flick through.
