On a cold wet winters day, Savannah offered a welcome respite from the wind and rain with its warm, welcoming interior permeated with the tempting aromas of a full English breakfast. Chilled out tunes create a relaxed atmosphere. Savannahs have the usual breakfast combo’s but with some unusual variations with the Savannah and Benedict breakfasts. Their average price is about £5 and the portions are huge and very tasty. Their wide-ranging, continentally influenced menu includes tapas /starters; main courses include veg & chicken enchiladas, paella, moussaka, kleftico all around £7−8. Pizzas and pasta at around £6−7 and lighter bites such as omelettes, toasted paninis and jacket potatoes all around £4−5. I love this little bistro style café bar and was reluctant to leave, but my hands were now warmed thanks to a frothy cappuccino, and I had to go.
