This shop could possibly define the backwards North-​South divide that exists in Bristol in one go. I mean, I don’t think a net curtain shop would do quite so well in Clifton as in Bedminster.
S & L fabrics has an extensive window display on East Street, Bedminster, offering custom made curtains and nets, ideal for those bay windows looking onto the street. It’s a very dated-​looking shop, but I guess the older generation would prefer flowery curtains to a swizzy bamboo blind outfit.
