Made reservations to use our groupon and arrived on time at 6:30. Waited almost TWO hours for our meals — chicken and rice which wasn’t worth the wait. Chicken was dry and didn’t end up being eaten. Later found out we had been charged £18 for soft drinks and naan bread. Not expecting this when we had already paid for the groupon. We questioned the bill and why we’re were charged £10 for cokes and the manager not only flat out refused to remove the drinks from our bill but argued with us telling us we hadn’t waited two hours(meanwhile we were leaving at 9pm after arriving for our 6:30 reservation) terrible customer service, unfair charges on the bill and dry chicken. Avoid this place!

Went there a few months back with my wife, really enjoyed the evening and have told a few people about the place. 5 stars!

Cute little Indian restaurant in Clifton. Cheap as chips and really tasty! Would highly recommend for the food and lovely atmosphere, as it seems to be constantly busy!

My friends and I tried to go to Thali Café in Clifton and were told there was an hour wait! Hungry and drawn to the brightly coloured wall, we went in next door to Rupsha. We were a bit concerned that there seemed to be nobody in the place, but once inside we realized that there were 2 other floors of seating that were buzzing with customers. The staff were very nice and the food was a very pleasant surprise! I agree with the previous reviewer that the food portions were big, not greasy, flavourful, and spicy! Until now, I have really not been impressed with Bristol Indian food. I find most of it downright bland and often watery. But here is the exception!!! I do like Thali Café, but I’m glad we couldn’t get seated there as I have found someplace I like better! Anyway, I docked them a star(should have only been a half star) because they brought all the food and then we had to wait a bit before they eventually retuned with rice and bread. We were hungry so we ate it in the meantime. No real problem, just a minor quibble.

This beautiful new curry house is fantastic — not just because there’s not a moving waterfall picture in site and the restaurant feels fresh and vibrant — but because of the superb value for money and size of the portions. Rupsha are not stingy. The food was also delicious. I have built up a pretty good idea of what to expect from curry houses in this area of Bristol by eating a lot of curry and always ordering the same dish, but my Pathia was actually spicy(which is all too rare), full of flavour and texture — I say that because of the watery bland one I had elsewhere last week. The food was beautifully presented and not-at-all greasy — particularly the onion bhajis, which were some of the best I’ve had. The service was great too, warm and friendly. I think this new restaurant will be very popular in Clifton and deservedly so.
