Very fast service. I could only have been here for three minutes maximum and I had been served and was out the door. The food was OK. More of crispy coating on the chicken would have been nice. Hotter food would also have been nice. Pepe’s are fast because the food is pre-cooked, then stored in heated cabinets until they can sell it. It was Luke warm when given to me, nearly cold by the time I got home. Value for money wasn’t great. There’s cheaper shops doing exactly the same thing in the neighbourhood.

As you may know by now, if you have been keeping tabs on my reviews that is, I do love my chicken and it always becomes a sad day when I have a bad chicken experience — and it was a very sad day when I decided to try out Pepes. I went for two picese of chicken, chips and a can of fizzy pop that day and after taking a few bites of one of the chicken pieces I then proceeded to eat the chips as quickly as possible, washing it down with the drink, to try and get the horrid taste that the chicken had left in my mouth. It tasted as though it had been cooked many hours before my purchase and kept warm in their heated cabinet, and we all know that this makes it taste very bad.

I did not really enjoy my Pepe’s expierience, probably because I was sober and it was raining… but still, I don’t think any amount of sunshine could improve it much. The food was pretty poor, chicken felt as if it had been sitting cooked, reheated, cooked, reheated and reheated again and again, and then stood around for hours… which it probabley had been, also the service really wasn’t up to much… is a smile too much to ask for?
