Great bakery/coffee shop. Always very friendly staff. Their has been an offer on all their coffers of £1 forever! I go for a £1 latte almost everyday and it always goes down well. They’re bread pudding is also wonderful, as well as their pasties.

This is a very sophisticated bakery. It reminds me of a chic French patisserie, with its warm glow and beautifully presented cakes and pastries. Needless to say, prices are a little higher than your average bakery, but you’ll taste the difference. The shop also serves a range of sandwiches, and stocks a variety of fillings which can be used to create the sandwich of your choice. Brie, salad and coleslaw is my personal favourite, and is perfect hangover food. Unfortunately, the shop doesn’t have inside seating, but does have a table and bench outside for summertime use. For a more scenic eating spot, I’d advise popping over to Greville Smyth Park to indulge in your doughy treats.

Parsons on North Street is quite a large branch of the popular Bristol-based bakery chain. They serve a range of great tasting pasties and other hot savoury items as well as fresh Lavazza coffee, sandwiches, paninnis, soup, and of course some delicious cakes and fresh bread. The staff in here are always friendly, and keep the shop looking dazzlingly clean. It is a slight shame that there’s nowhere to sit and eat in this branch; some Parsons like the St Michaels Hill one have pretty little outside eating areas. This branch is great for picking up a sandwich on the go, and can be found on busy North Street.

This is more your middle class bakery, catering for people who don’t mind forking out that little bit extra for slightly nicer loaves of bread and slightly cleaner pasty’s, than you will find in your bog standard Greggs for example. The food on a whole is pretty good and well worth checking out. Their breakfast sausage and bacon sandwiches are the real winners though and definitely worth walking for even if you live ten minutes away(as I do). They are great big chunky things(as they should be) and the bread is wonderfully soft and delicious. They also offer some pretty nice cakes, some excellent lunch time sandwiches and even coffee. There’s also a street side seating are for you to take a load of and enjoy watching the world go buy, well North Street anyway.

I love parsons. These bakerys are fantastic the food always seems more home baked than at greggs. On the negative side though its also much more expensive, but you get what you pay for. The pastys here are loads more inventive and really taste that you made it yourself. The paninis are also really nice but i have noticed that if you go late in the day all the food tastes a bit dry unlike greggs who bake all day. The cakes are fab and thay also custom make birthday cakes which is nice. this storen is really clean with really freindly and helfful staff highly recommended

Parson’s bakery is a really high class bakers and is well known in the local area. The cakes are amazing, perfect for a weekend treat and they often have offers on like 4 cakes for the price of 3 — just tempting you to those extra calories! You can also buy coffee, sandwiches and snacks here and on a nice sunny day you can sit outside and watch the world(well, Bedminster!) go by. The flapjacks are amazing and have loads of fruity pieces in(surely that must be at least one portion of your five a day?!) Highly recommended.
