Me and my girlfriend have been to this wonderful establishment about 100 times over the last three years. I can honestly say that the food is of the finest quality and I have tried every dish on the menu. All the food is healthy and authentic it even inspired us to go on holiday to morocco last year. the staff are most welcoming and if you are lucky you may be able to order one of Hassan’s amazing homemade cheesecakes :)

Morrocon Food? All I know is Cuos Cuos — And I do like that as an alternative to rice. When the Suggestion was made. I thought why not. Different from an Indian. When we got there, the Waiter asked if we had been there before or eaton Moroccan Food. We all said No. So He suggested a starter for us all to share, followed by a tradional Main Course. This all sounded lovelly and we all agreed. A Casablanca beer was then ordered and some tradional Rose/Red Wines for the Ladies. The food was Great. All Marinated Chicken, Olives, dried fruit and roasted vegatables. With Bread and Humus. The Main Course was piping hot dishes in Tradional ceramic plates, sizzling Lamb, Chicken and Meatballs. Perfect Evening. The Waiter was on his own on this occasion. But he could not do enough for you. Despite serving everyone in the full restaurant. You never thought left out. He was very passionate about the food and answered all the questions we asked. Theres nothing more I can say other than — If your in Fishponds. You have to try this place…

Okay, so a simple takeaway was our plan, we thought we’d pop in, place our order, go the the cross keys have a pint and a game of pool then on our way home pick up the food. But as we walked in we thought, this is pretty nice, and within a few uncertain moments the 4 of us found ourselves sat round a table, and we never looked back! The food is really nice here, you can tell that alot of the meats have been slow cooked to perfection. If you come here between tuesday and thursday you can get a 2 course meal for £9.90, now that may seem a bit pricy, but once you’ve tasted the food you’ll think you’ve had a right bargain! Fishponds isn’t the most upmarket of all places, but the Marhaba provides some much needed quality to the food on offer in the area.

Yum yum yum hot tagines of scrumptiousness. I used to live round the corner of here and shops and restaurants came and went in the blink of an eye. However Marhaba has deservedly stuck it out. Despite the Harvester-style banners on the outside, the restaurant inside is pretty and authentic in décor. The staff are beaming with pride about the food so much that it is infectious, and it is hard to pick out just one dish to eat. For those not sure what to expect from the food, think slow cooked dishes of chopped up meat and vegetables with lots of flavour and juices but not as spicy as curry. That doesn’t really do it justice — you should just go and eat! They also have Moroccan wines selected to compliment the food which are really interesting and very nice * hic * Find this on the corner in Lower Fishponds opposite Lodge Causeway.
