Kebab King

I like this place!
Ok ok I get the point about it being no different from any other kebab joint in our fair city — but if you’re a kebab connoisseur as I, you will notice that this is one of the finer establishments. The salad is always crisp, the portions are always generous, the meat is always succulent… And I’ve never had a morning lost down the pan so as to speak! What more can you ask for?!

i love this place. have been ordering from here for about 5 years, and it has been fantastic every time. they are polite and although they always say a delivery time of 1 hour, its usually there within half that time

Not a bad little fast food joint located on the Church Road, but in all honesty the Kebab King really is much like the many number of Kebaba/​Pizza/​Burger/​Chicken places that you find around the city. Although it declares itself ‘King’ it is more appropiate to call it ‘Member of the Public’ in my eyes. Not that there was anything terribly horrfific about this place when I popped in for some chicken whilst in the area a little while back, but it simply was just the same as every other place. So if your looking for a familiar bite to eat and you find yourself up on Church Road, then pop in but don’t worry about making to much of an effort if your’e not in the area, just go to te shop at the end of your road!

Kebab King is actually pretty good, so far as takeaway establishments go. It’s dirt cheap and although the food isn’t exactly healthy, it’s certainly tasty enough and at 3am it’ll fill that void in your stomach very nicely indeed. The staff don’t seem a bad bunch and they’re certainly more cheery than some you’ll come across in the same profession. I’d certainly rather head here after a night on the tiles than to Miss Millie’s down the road, there’s more choice, for a start. They do a variety of burgers too, so if you’re stomach’s not up to the meat content of a kebab you can always play it safe with a veggie patty in a bun.

I wonder if by using the word Kebab in the title in draws in more customers than calling it ‘Pizza King’, or Chicken King’ hey, why not even ‘Burger King’… wait… oh I see what they’ve done!
But seriousley, this place doesn’t really specialise in Kebabs, it doesn’t really specialise in anything, it probably sells as many Pizza’s and Burger’s as it does anything else… maybe it is trying to launch a monopoly on the Kebab market, trying to make people think this is surely the one place to come for Kebab’s as it is the King!

It really isn’t, but it’s ok, better than some of the other Kebab places on Church road.
