Really lovely local pool, £3.60 for a swim, nice and warm and good size changing rooms, no learner or training pool but fine for little ones in the shallow end

I understand what serenlas has said about the pool but I love the pool. It is run down but the pool is good and the staff is friendly. It looks as though the pool will be closing, which is a big shame.

Tucked away in a back street in Knowle, the Jubilee is a bit out of the way so enjoys the advantage of rarely getting very busy. Also, of the two pools located in this area, this one is in better nick. It’s not as rundown as Bristol South(in Bedminster) and has the added advantage of having separate changing rooms. However, this isn’t to say that it’s in any way luxurious, and while it’s superficially nicer than its Bedminster counterpart, the pool is also quite a bit smaller. So if you’re looking for anything more than somewhere to do a few functional laps, or have a car and kids to please, you may be better off heading over to the much plusher pool in Easton.

Although this was my local pool when I lived in Bristol, I went up there once or twice and never again. The pool itself was ordinary enough but the whole place seemed quite run down. The changing rooms needed updating and, although I didn’t take a child with me, I did notice that there were no baby changing facilites at all. This was all a couple of years ago now — perhaps it’s changed? The pool is also set on top of a steep hill so if you don’t drive there you’re usually exhausted before you even arrive!
