What a stroke of luck to come across John just as I was planning my
French wifes 80^th birthday celebrations ! John filled the bill perfectly,
bringing a French flavour to the evening, & a big smile to my wifes face.

I’ve been having accordion lessons with John since January 2011.
I first saw John playing the accordion while he was busking in Clifton Village and was truly impressed by his talent and obvious love for the instrument. When I found out that he also taught, I decided to take the plunge and get the lessons I’d wanted for a while. I phoned John (a friend had picked up his business card) and he took me through what I needed to consider and gave me some really helpful, impartial advice on buying my own accordion.
John’s a really patient and flexible teacher and is happy to work at a pace I’m comfortable with. He’s always listened to me, taking the time to understand what kind of music I wanted to play and what I wanted to achieve, and choosing pieces at my level/​shaping the lessons accordingly. I’ve found him to be a very positive, knowledgeable and encouraging person to learn from.
