I love this little pub! Have lived in the area for years but had never been there but since my first visit i have been several times since and will continue to do so. It is bit pricey, we all know it’s not cheap but what nice place ever is? For a beer and a soft drink it was about £8 so yeh… BUT the staff are the nicest people and the food is to die for, the pub garden is huge and you can even play ping pong! it’s a nice atmosphere and it’s defo worth a visit. :)

As my trusty local, The Inn on the Green is the perfect chilled night out. The pub was named CAMRA’s best real ale pub in Bristol a few years ago, and whilst I am not myself an ale drinker, I know plenty of guys who would choose it as their favourite watering hole in a shot. With an ever-changing choice of beers, you are never short of options when it comes to trying something new. Not only a great pub for ale, the cosy atmosphere in the main bar area, makes it the perfect spot to enjoy your visit whatever your chosen tipple. Beer mats, from every beer ever served at the tavern, surround the bar and there are always plenty of punters inside, creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The pub is extended out into a good-sized car park at the rear of the building and booth seats are installed along the barn-like extension to create plenty of space for all the punters. The bar staff are always friendly and accommodating and being served swiftly is never an issue, regardless of how busy the bar gets. And if that still isn’t enough, to entice even more folk through the door, the food is reasonably priced and embraces great, traditional pub grub. The only real downside to the pub is that the toilets are colder than an outhouse in Antarctica. The last time I sat on the loo, I really thought I might freeze to the seat. But luckily, the rest of the pub is perfectly toasty and as long as you don’t want to spend too much time preening in front of the mirror you’ll warm up in no time. With a pub quiz on a Sunday night and a beer garden for good measure, you can’t really go wrong.

THe pub has morphed over the years and is currently The Inn on The Green, not quite sure what green that is, as a concrete frenzy seems to have happened around it. Well this pub is pretty average, but the food is wlll below par and its all pretty food nothing to get your belly busting. Tried the roast dinner and was very dissappointed with both the quality {very pretty but not alot of it} Ah Well you live and learn good thing therea a chip shop nearby to quell your hunger pangs after eating in this pub. Nice selection of beer but frankly will not be going back again

Great selection of real ales, and some hard to find beers on tap. Somewhat pricey, but given the selection available I think its justified. Soft drinks could be cheaper though. Not tried the food but I hear a lot of good things. They no longer have the pool tables, but it has been done up and has booths toward the back. Nice quiet beer garden and solid pub quiz on Sundays at 8pm.

Great pub, even better food. Don’t be put off by the bland exterior, the inside is cosy and welcoming. Try the burger and the best chips in the South West

I don’t need to tell you how good this place is. I just need to tell you it won CAMRA pub of the year back in 2006. The ales are still as good today, including Doombar(and 11 other cask ales for your tasting pleasure). The pub is located opposite the Horfield Sports centre(oh the choice you’ll have to make — gym or pub) an imposing old building literally on the green. Inside is a bit faux-antique, but warm and inviting all the same. Food smells wafting from the place when I was there were stomach-rumblingly good, unfortunately I’ve yet to taste the grub. All the more reason to go back.

This was voted best pub in Bristol in 2006 and a worthy winner it was too. A good size pub with car park and a good sized garden. It does lack some of the charm of the Wellington which is five minutes down the road, but it more then makes up for it in choice. Everytime I’ve been here and there’s too many to mention, they’ve had atleast 16 real ales, ciders and if memory serves me correctly ‘perry’ on tap. It really does have one if not the best selection of beers in Bristol(the commercial rooms on park street is probably the only one that comes close). As well as good beer there’s enough here to keep most people happy. It has three pool tables a fruit machine and a quiz machine amongst other forms of entertainment eg quiz night. I really like this pub, my wife on the otherhand, can’t stand it. She’s not a beer drinker which doesn’t really help, she refuses to come here any more. for that reason I give this pub four stars, If my wife changes her mind about this place then it would just scrape a 5 star rating. Yes I am under the thumb — happy drinking!
