In the current clime of large corporations and faceless companies it is so refreshing to find successful family businesses going strong and doing what they love.
Established in 1938 Harvey’s Cycle Exchange has remained in the same family for three generations. As much as cycling has modernised over the last few years coming through some major changes and innovations, the family remain true to their work ethic of excellent customer service. They provide all sorts of bike, from folding to specialist, but each customer is treated individually; their needs are listened to and the appropriate advise given. With a full range of tools and accessories including helmets and clothing, and a workshop crammed full of experience and time — Harvey’s is a very safe bet.

I’ve used Harveys Cycle Exchange to service a couple of my bikes and also dropped in on numerous occasions for some freebie advice (mostly about my kids bikes).
They are incredibly helpful. I have very little idea how they keep going as their range of new bikes isn’t fantastic — but as a service shop they musty be pretty hard to beat. I had to wait over a month for my bike to have a full service, which shows how popular the place is!
After each service my bike has ridden like new — testament to the passion that these guys have for cycling.
