Daily Bite is commuter Heaven. Its located on the main path from the centre to Temple Meads so expect it to be very busy at rush hour times. They serve a good selection of ‘as you walk’ and train food which is handy if you are in a hurry. By this I mean no forks, spoons or tables are needed for the majority of the food served here. Having said that, there are a couple of tables if you fancy a break. Food is a little over priced but that is to be expected considering the audience it is targeting. Staff are pleasant and efficient at their job but not overly friendly. And not to mention the food is really amazingly good! Worth a stop if you are peckish and walking past.

The queues out the door at lunchtime told me all I needed to knwo(obviously I munched into a sandwich or two also, all in the name of research). I can assure you that The Daily Bite make darned tasty sarnies(and wraps and oozing, melting paninis) from fresh ingredients range from the tradition English, like Egg Mayo, New York Deli style pastrami and gherkins and Spanish feast of chorizo and manchego cheese. What a treat, what a selection! There is fresh-from-the-ground-this morning pick-n– mix salad and freshly ground this morning(geddit) cwooffeee as good as any Manhattan deli could hope to serve. Plus they do filled jacket potatoes(and do I mean FILLED) and fresh fruit smoothies for when you’re having a health kick. Great if you work in the centre and fancy a quick, none-too-pricey luncheon.

The Daily Bite make really tasty sandwiches from fresh ingredients, you get a choice of white, wholemeal or granery bread and they pack your sandwich with loads of filling. My favourite is egg mayonnaise on granery. They also sell pick-n– mix salad, filled jacket potatoes, paninis and fresh fruit smoothies. The prices are reasonable. There can be quite a big queue at lunchtime but the food is worth the wait!
