Buffett style of Indian, chinese, & Japanese food. But most items are made super starchy for the price that we pay. Guess the sauce makes up for it. Pretty decent for the price you pay for it.

I had a higher review before– the first time I visited. But after my 4th visit i didn’t like the way the waiter treated us. As we were going to pay the bill on the table, a waiter approached us and with a harsh tone like ordering us what to do wanted us to go and pay the bill at the back as new customers have arrived and they had to clean the table. The tone language was not very welcome at all. I have never been treated in a restaurant like that before. Probably will be my last lunch over there. Waiters(not waitresses. They are nice) over there should learn asking nicely.

Cosmo offers a wide range of variety of Asian food. Their Asian food is pretty good as well especially the sushi bar selection. I normally go there to have all you can eat japanese food and teppanyaki as the nearest japanese buffet from Bristol is located in London. Anyways, just want to highlight that I was a little bit disappointed with the management of Cosmo on 2 visits of mine this week. The chef for the sushi bar refused to add on or top up the selection of sushi/sashimi after 8pm. The reason being told to me was because the restaurant has ‘ran out’ of ingredients. Was a bit disappointed with the excuses or reasons as a buffet should never run out of food. Was such a disappointing 2 visits in a single week.

Haven’t been to many all-you-can-eat buffets here in the UK, but I would venture to say that Cosmo is probably the best one that I have been to. So why the three stars? I thought it was a bit overpriced, especially the drinks(which you have to pay for separately after you have paid for your meal) and every time I went to check if they had more of an item, the pan would still be empty. And while I appreciate the quickness at which the staff moved, sometimes it was a bit haphazard almost running into people, dropping things while clearing(a real problem when they are dropping stuff on you or if you incur some of the splatter from something dropped on the floor), etc. However, the reason it is probably one of the best ones… the choices! Not to mention, most of the food was pretty good. They have a number of different stations. Some of them are stations where food is cooked/prepared to order, there is the standard area with food in pans under hot lamps that you help yourself to, dessert station, salad station, soup station, etc. And there is such a wide variety of different Asian cuisines to try… from Chinese and Japanese to Thai and Indian… of course there is always a small area with chips, pizza, chicken nuggets, etc. the not so Asian items as well.

Cosmo offers an all-you-can-eat buffet experience spanning all sorts of Asian food — from Thai and Indian curries, to sushi and Chinese dumplings. It’s quite good fun but don’t go there expecting fine dining. First off, you pay upfront before you take a seat, which took me aback a little — then you order drinks separately. You then go and get yourself whatever food you fancy, and you can go back to the buffet as many times as you like. The quality of the dishes on offer varies; most of it isn’t particularly authentic, but a lot of it is quite tasty — while other dishes are decidedly cheap and lack any finesse(the desserts in particular are unbelievably sweet and sickly). The staff are not exactly overly friendly, but they are very efficient — clearing plates and bringing drinks quickly, and keeping the place clean and tidy. I believe that if you book ahead, you get a 1 hour 45 minute slot to eat in(!) whereas if you just show up on the night without a booking you get a 1 hour 30 minute slot. It’s quite good fun, very clean, and great for groups arguing over what type of food to eat — but it’s not the place for a stylish date!

Who doesn’t love an all you can eat buffet eh? I know I do but sometimes it can feel too much like a cheap, torrid affair. Buffets are often part of a meal deal or only frequented by greedy people who don’t know when to put down the knife and fork. Cosmo brings and element of class and sophistication to the buffet scene with it’s sleek, black interior and dark wood tables. Being a pan Asian restaurant the emphasis moves away from just how much you can fit on your plate to trying new flavours and concoctions. While there is a lunch menu for £7 the evening range is far more extensive, including sushi, among other things. So if you’re not sure if you like raw fish or fancy trying a new curry or stir fry then Cosmo is a fantastic place to go as you aren’t tied to just one kind of food. There is also a dessert buffet towards the back of the restaurant though this isn’t quite as nice as the savoury tidbits. Having said that you can’t go wrong with a chocolate fountain, mmm…

This glamorous restaurant seats over 250 diners in envious and comfortable surroundings. The decoration and layout makes the most of the interior space and is an ideal venue for a large group or office night out. The restaurant boasts 6 live cooking stations, incorporating a teppanyaki hotplate, yakatori barbecue grill, dim sum bar, wok station, fresh noodle bar and freshly prepared sushi counter. These are in addition to the popular and sumptuous dishes available on the hot and cold cooking stations. Not quite fine dining, but the surroundings and the quality of the food are decent enough to warrant the slightly higher than average prices.

As mentioned before this place is massive! The food is really good, but I think that it is a little pricey for me, especially because I can never eat £12.50 worth of food. Having said that, if you are famished/can eat a lot then this may be the place for you! Its really lovely inside, very sheek and stylish. I would personally recommend going for a large lunch as its only £6.99 until 3pm so you could spread out your lunch over a few hours! Children prices are very reasonable too.

When it comes to cooking, if quantity rather than quality is your bag, then Cosmo will definitely be for you. That’s not to say that they’re food isn’t good — only that the first thing that struck me about this Asian bistro is the sheer scale of the place, and the menu. It is a bargain at just £12.50 a head but do watch out as the prices can go up by a couple of pounds on Friday and Saturday nights. What I love about Cosmo is that you’ll be able to try a variety of dishes from across Malaysia, China, Japan and India — to name but a few! It’s not a great place to take anyone suffering with a specific food allergy as the menu clearly states that nut traces can be found in nearly all dishes.

I came here for a Christmas meal and was very excited, I love all you can eat buffets! They always remind me of being at a party in Enid Blyton’s Faraway Tree where you can just wish food and it will magically appear. There are a huge variety of dishes, I had a little taste of everything, the chinese and thai food was particularly good. I was less over excited by the desserts which were so-so rather than super tasty. However why this place only gets 3 stars is the incredible rudeness of the staff. No matter how much fun all you can eat is and how lovely the surroundings, I’d be embarassed to bring a group of people knowing the staff are going to be rude in some way. If you look at rude service as part of the ‘experience’ you’ll have a far nicer time here.
