Chiquito isn’t terrible, so far as Mexican chains go, but it’s certainly not my favourite restaurant in the world. There’s a pretty extensive menu, both for food and drinks, so it’s good for large groups, especially if you’re friends with any fussy eaters. Last time I visited I had the loaded potato skins, which was okay, but got a bit samey after a while. It’s not the classiest of joints, but it is in the middle of a big ol’ retail park, so it’s not exactly surprising. The prices aren’t bad, but perhaps a little on the expensive side given the quality of the food, in my opinion. The service is friendly, but when I was here we had to wait quite a while for our food — something to bear in mind if you’ve booked cinema tickets and are heading here for a pre-show meal.

Unfortunately located in an eye sore of a retail park, Chiquito is nonetheless the best thing this park has going for it. If you’re a fan of Mexican cuisine and enjoy a lively atmosphere whilst dining, you’ll probably appreciate Chiquito. Living five minutes away from the restaurant, my flat mate and I decided we’d sample it one evening. It was a Friday night and the atmosphere was pretty zesty — Mexican music was tinkling from the speakers and customers indulged in animated conversation. My friend and I both opted for Vegetable Fahitas with chips and salad(circa £8) and were most impressed with the quality of the food. Staff were friendly and efficient too, despite the chaotic working environment. With regard to alcohol, there are a good selection of largers, ciders and wines and you can expect to pay average prices: we were drinking Stella(don’t judge) which came to around £3 per pint. All in all, a well run little restaurant.

First visit, and never again, very tatty place, with ripped seating, and Sub standerd food warmed up in the microwave, HAD a better CHILLY from TESCOS.

Menu looks great, plenty of choice and mouth watering dishes, but sadly this increasingly tired looking chain does not deliver. The fajita dishes apart, most items on this menu are obviously reheated from frozen and over priced foe what you get. The service we experianced was frustratingly slow at best and incompetent at worst. Promised much, delivered little and then asked for far too much money. Think carefully before trying this Mexican restaurant
