I took advantage of a groupon deal for a salad and a smoothie/juice. The menu is very well-priced, portions are reasonable, and there is a great variety of veg options. My salad was terrific and flavorful. I’ll definitely be back to try their breakfast burrito.

What you ask for and what you get are two different things but be assued you’ll pay for things you won’t recieve. Quite why there is a break down in comms. between the till and the kitchen is a mystery as they are only a foot apart! They owe me money and when i tryed to call them, the number supplied was for an automated insurance line.

Blue Juice was one of the first juice bars to set up in Bristol. I used to visit it regularly when I worked around the corner on Whiteladies Road. Often in need of a vitamin hit, my most regular purchase was a veritable cocktail of all the good stuff, including red berries, acai and a couple of other less exotic ingredients. Quite appropriately it is called Code Red. Every now and then I’d push the boundaries of healthful living to its extreme perimeters and ask them to slosh a helping of spirulina in there as well. It didn’t make it taste any better, but has put approximately ten years onto my life expectancy! Occasionally I’d buy myself a wrap as well, but not being vegetarian I found the menu a little too limiting for my tastes. More often than not I’d follow my juice with a latte to drink on the terrace whilst smoking a fag. Bang goes those extra ten years, right there, I guess!

That there’s a lot of juice is true, but that most of it is blue is(regrettably? I don’t know…) not. Blue Juice serves up a range of fantastic smoothies and healthy food on student thoroughfare Cotham Hill. It’s a great place to stop off for lunch, serving up some of the tastiest and most satisfying plates(oh, those wraps!) I’ve had the good fortune to sample on this particular road. Add to those excellent smoothies and you’ve got a great café on your hands. The décor is in bright, exuberant shades and although seating is limited inside, the outdoor picnic benches are perfect for when the weather is warm as Cotham Hill invariably has a lively buzz to it. Staff are friendly and eager to help you choose which smoothie is the one you really want. For a genuinely healthy snack, there’s not much better than Blue Juice.

This is a vegan and vegetarian orientated juice bar and café that serves really good smoothies, juices and food. The place itself is very tiny, and you’ll be lucky to get a seat(unless you go on a weekday), buy you can always take your food or drink away with you. Blue Juice offer a great range of difference fruit juices, including the superfood acai berry which seems to be pretty popular! Their coffee is also actually pretty good — and being a coffee lover myself I find myself being pretty critical of some places for their coffee, but I would recommend it from here. This is the kind of place that’s good for grabbing a healthy lunch with a friend — their enchiladas are delicious and you feel like you’ve had something really good to eat afterwards. I personally think its great to have places that cater for vegans, because so many places don’t seem to do this so well, so give this place a go and you might find yourself changing to a healthier lifestyle — it’s that good! Five stars from me…

This splendid, bonkers little healthfood and smoothie café is in the ideal location to attract thirsty, vitamin-starved students rolling in from Redland for lectures. Offering a colourful array of juices made from every superfood you can imagine, and cooking up yummy wraps and salads, it’s a great place to have a quick and extremely healthy breakfast or lunch. With its bright blue and hot orange décor and benches out front, it’s a cheerful and youthful — dare I say«hip» — establishment, staffed by cool types with dreads and fair trade clothing. It’s not particularly comfortable inside, and not the best place to relax and read, given the people coming in and out for coffees and the noise made by the hard-working blending machines. Come here for a quick bite which will recharge the immune system and uplift the mood.

This is so much more than a juice bar, they offer the best wraps around. I strongly recommend their burrito’s especially the one that is chock a block full of beans and cheese, i haven’t ‘bean’ able to find a hangover cure quite like this. I love the way that you can see everything being made in front of you from juices to wraps. Their soups are excellent, however, you’d have to mad to miss out on their juice wrap combo for a fiver. The cherry on the top is certainly the charm with which the place is run.

This teeny tiny café on Cotham Hill is best enjoyed in the summer time when you can spill onto the street and enjoy a cup of coffee, healthy smoothie or an enchilada! Loved by students, vegetarians and locals alike for their tasty drinks, and even more delicious food. My favourite offering of theirs is their salads which are far from wimpy, packed as they are with nuts, seeds and cheese. Perfecto! And if you’re not watching your weight — be sure to try one of their calorific, but bloomin’ lovely, cakes.

I have a friend who lives round the corned from Blue Juice and I know for a fact she goes in here at least once a week. As for myself, I’ve only ever been in twice, but on both occasions I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the drink, if not the prices. If you’re a greasy spoon kinda guy or gal and think the best way to cure a hangover is by consuming half a litre of bacon fat, then you might want to give this place a wide birth. The focus here is on healthy alternative meals for people who are conscious about what they are putting in their bodies. Personally, I’m not particularly conscious about the food I eat so the health benefits of blue juice were lost on me. Having said that, some of the smoothies they do are excellent and well worth trying simply for the taste.

This is a juice bar on Cotham Road, that helps many a student get back those vital vitamins they’ve been missing all term. They boast a variety of fruit juices and smoothies, which you can get made up to order with any particular blend. I remember thinking their coffee is particularly good(perhaps not great for a place that’s trying to make people more healthy.), but what is an absolute must is the breakfast burrito — a little difficult for all you 9 to 5ers, but it really is the thing to do on a lazy morning — you can feel both full in a fatty way to cure your hangover, and healthy at the same time with a shot of one of their magnificently hydrating smoothies. Try the Acai berry juice, always bound to make you positively buzz from healthiness for the rest of the day.

I really like this place, it has something of a kooky european vibe to it. There’s a load of seating out front, which means you can watch the buzz of Clifton Down whilst sipping great tasting coffee suitable for a student budget. It doesn’t end there, if you’re looking for an ethical meal, you’ve come to the right place, as Blue Juice is a modest vegan café, offering a wide range of smoothies, juices, cakes and light meals. The staff are friendly and accommodating, serving you promptly and efficiently.

Don’t worry, not all the juice is blue here! This vegey-vegan place place does cakes and coffee as well as a good range of smoothies. Found on Cotham Hill, it’s got a beautiful location where you can watch business men and students rush by(well, the students don’t rush so much as saunter, and you won’t see any until after twelve). There are plenty of other choices on Cotham Hill, with the Friary in particular offering a lovely spot to have some breakfast and a cup of tea. Nonetheless I do recommend Blue Juice as they’ve managed to pull off being super chilled-out whilst still managing to serve up a decent coffee, just how a café should be in my opinion. The food and smoothies are all good for the health aware and include a few adventurous ingredients(ever tried Acai berry?). Not comfort food — go somewhere else if you’re looking for a greasy fry up. Perfect for a chilled out drink and bite to eat where you can feel proud of yourself for having made the healthy choice.

This is a fantastic little café tucked away on cotham hill and I place I love to go to get lunch occasionally — unfortunately the prices are just a little too high to eat there every day. Everything they sell is freshly made organic and full of all the healthy antioxidants that we keep being told by everyone that we should eat because they are good for us. To be honest, the reason I like to go here to eat is simply because their food and juices are really really tasty. The quinoa and hummous wrap is amazing and they do great hot burritos to take away as well. They have loads of posters of upcoming events to read on the walls while you wait, and for the summer monthds they have a number of picnic tables out the front to sit at.

If only had known that my penchant for their backbeen and cheese wrap was shared by so many! I feel that much closer to you all. Wraps are great, juices are delicious and the staff have a great attitude. It’s got a good, lively vibe about it but not so much that it dtracts from a certain relaxedness! There is a deal here these days a fresh juice and a wrap for £5! Great value and I took a friend and she loved it as much as I do.

When I worked around the corner to the Blue Juice, I was addicted to its delicious bean and cheese wraps, my day wasn’t complete without one. And love the fabulous selection of juices and smoothies that zing with vitamins and offer a great flu-buster or hangover cure, all freshly made on the premises. Catering to the breakfast and lunch crowd with a selection of wraps, quesadillas and salads, this café is a very popular destination. You can eat inside at the high tables, listening to some excellent and laid back tunes or glancing through the daily paper; or in better weather, sit outside and enjoy the ambience of a vibrant Cotham Hill; much nicer and healthier than scurrying straight back to your office with your lunch.

Blue juice is my all time favourite place to eat breakfast or lunch. It’s a tiny alternative café with most of the tables outside. The whole place has an aura of healthiness about it and is great to go to if you’re feeling under the weather, especially if you’re hungover. They make fresh smoothies and gorgeous hot and spicy teas, as well as excellent cooked food of the burrito and quesadilla variety. However, I don’t think they serve it after 2pm. I personally recommend the vegetarian breakfast quesadilla,(but there are some really tasty spicy meals if that’s what you’re looking for,) with either a blue juice smoothie or hot apple, cinnamon and ginger tea. The last time I went, they also had a chessboard that you could play a few games on, and great music like Willy Mason or Fela Kuti playing in the background.
