Bi-Hand…curious name, but what a beautifully eccentric and creative shop. From the moment I got there and the owner came to let me in because the front door was the locked the whole experience felt really personal and unique. Some of the pieces, like the lamps, look more like sculptures or works of modern art and I found some of the ideas quite inspiring, with such an interesting use of wood and metal to create these almost industrial installations that remained warm and humorous so you would actually really want in your house. Even though I did love the objects on sale my favourite items of theirs had to be the prints & original art work. They had some really unique, beautiful pieces unlike any I had seen on sale in Bristol before. This shop would be amazing for quirky gifts and obscure fascinating objects for your home; conversations starters if you will.

A cute shop which is a mix of craft gallery and handmade gifts — the best thing is they have a strong preference to reused and recycled goodies. There are lots of useful household items made from reclaimed wood — my favourite being magazine racks made from old packing crates. They also have crazy little knitted dolls and check out the felt knitted lampshades! Lots of modern trinkets to help out any present dilemma, its great to have a little delve around this shop. Be warned about the restricted opening times!
