Bees and Graves is something that fairytales are made of. I have never seen such an array of hanging jewels in my life. Aladdins Cave is the only way in which any one could describe it. Whatever style of jewellery you are into, they are bound to have something to match it. If you’re just out for a window shop, it is a must, as it really is rather impressive. The owners know their stuff, and are exceptionally good salesmen at the same time. It looks incredible, and their decision to opt for clutter rather than order in terms of displaying their necklaces really works. What is more is that their extensive selection of jewellery can rage from being low in cost and affordable to top end prices that would make your stomach churn. I think it is the owners that make the shop, they are so friendly and knowledgable on their pieces, and will undoubtedly find you whatever you’re looking for from their massive display.

Vintage glamour at its best in this shop, with costume jewellery from all periods beautifully displayed like Elizabeth Taylor’s boudoir. With a lot of vintage minxes out there you can be sure to find something from your preferred decade — if not the real thing(some things are very pricey!) then the owners know their stuff to point you to something that will look the part for your budget. They are happy for you to browse and enquire about different pieces.

This is an utter treasure trove of jewellery — it’s really quite mindblowing. It’s a plush and ornately adorned shop in Clifton Arcade, which has the widest and most aesthetically impressive aray of jewellery I’ve ever seen(and I’ve been dragged to a few shops in my time). This is true one on one customer service, as the kind gentleman behind the till, Mr Graves of the name, will find you, without fail, a piece that you’ll fall in love with. Their secret power is the fact they cater to all — they have really affordable items, from £8, to things that most of us couldn’t afford in a long time, as their catalogue extends to items near £8000. Nevertheless, the quality of service to both the £8 customers and the £8K customers is just as good. Even if you’re not after a purchase, it’s worth a look to be overwhelmed by the beauty of the shop itself, and then the items they keep. With adverts placed in Vogue, Tatler, and Harper & Collins, they have some serious clients and are decidedly Cliftonian, but these are all good things in my opinion. Go search for those gems!
