If you are in search of a cheap pair of trackies, or some casual garb to relax about the house in, Bargainland is the place for you. Boasting an extensive range of t-shirts, sweaters, tracksuits and the like, this place is ideal for the type of person who likes a bargain but refuses to wear other peoples’ cast-offs. However, the shop falls short in its attempt to ‘do glamorous’. The dressier outfits on sale tend to fall into ‘Vicky Pollard on a night out’ territory. Perhaps leave the special-occasion-wear to another retail outlet. But by all means, purchase the trackies.

Bargainland can be found in St Catherine’s Place close to Bedminster Railway Station. The square is extremely old fashioned, to include Iceland, Catherine’s Café and the YMCA Shop. This cheap clothing shop fits right in. Rails of clothes stretch out into the square from the shop, which is in the corner. The shop sells women’s ‘fashions’, and the cheapness shows through in the stock. It’s not really a great place to find great clothing, you’re probably better off visiting one of Bedminster’s charity shops.
