Not being an avid fish lover, I was dubious about this place but in the end I’m glad my pescetarian friend dragged me here for lunch. We had a munificent portioned platter of mixed seafood to share for two including cod & haddock goujons, salmon fish cakes, whole tail scampi, calamari & chips. The latter two I opted out of but the rest I can say were hand-on-my-heart delicious. There’s a full range of main fish options if you don’t want to share, and every side order under the sun(in fact it’s longer than the fish menu!) but if you’re not feeling fishy don’t fear, because their gourmet burgers are also delicious but without the gourmet price tag. In fact the whole meal including a bottle of Crooked Vine Sauvignon Blanc came to £35, which for the quality, service and atmosphere is pretty remarkable.

The sign outside reads«The Gourmet Fish and chips company», and that put me on edge a little as Fish and Chips hardly strikes me as Gourmet. But to Their credit, Walk of Fame really pull it off. Inside, its pretty petite, with enough space to give you room to move about, but not hundreds of tables to accommodate massive crowds. It gives the place a cosy feel, balanced by the glass wall that runs along one side, making it a nice little place to sit in and eat. Everything you’d expect to be on the menu is here, with a couple of veggie additions(I was blown away by my burger! No wonder some people avoid meat out of choice rather than poverty…) and some fancy options like calamari… Very nice. Its a tad cheaper to get take away(as you’d expect) and everything is pretty reasonably priced if you do so. And, you get a lovely box to carry your meal in, rather than streams of greasy, crumbling paper. Maybe a small detail, but it just makes your experience that little bit more enjoyable. I can see myself hitting walk Of Fame again if I feel a hankering for good old skool British food while meandering may way around the Marina. And maybe you will too!
