For a local chemists, this one is pretty good. It’s quite small but it has all the essentials tablets, cold remedies and cosmetics should you run out of shampoo. It feels like a fifties chemist for some reason– the décor is a bit dated and the window displays have a homemade feel and an endearing cheerfulness. The staff are really polite and discreet like they feel the weight of their responsibility as chemists and this adds to the old-​fashioned feel. It’s all quite nice really. The only issue I have is that in keeping with this retro style it is only open till 5pm on weekdays and Saturday and closed entirely on Sunday. which seems to be a day when one often needs more aspirin!
