This is not just a petrol station… this is an M&S petrol station, located on the finest of Brighton’s gyratories. Mean, mean, mean. It’s just plain mean to put a mini M&S Food in a petrol station. I am that person that Jack M. speaks of… I wander in, with not even the slightest rumble in my stomach and absolutely no intention whatsoever of buying food. I come out with a triple club sandwich, carrot dippers(that I could easily and cheaply make at home) and a ridiculously overpriced but oh so scrummy brownie. What happens in M&S food is a mystery to me. I lose all sense of rationale, logic and thriftiness. It’s as if those pesky M&S adverts have actually brainwashed me! Aside from M&S, this petrol station sells BP petrol at standardly inflated current gasoline prices. As Reece B. points out, this place should probably be used for nothing other than petrol(although I have admitted to being unable to follow my own advice!), the food is expensive and you can buy everything they sell over the road at Sainsbury’s at much more normal prices.
