Garage Studios

Garage Studios is a large photographic studio situated in Vine Street. They specialise in studio work and courses, as well as hiring out their studio space.
I took part in a «get to know your DSLR» course today being a keen photographer but really not knowing how to get the best out of my camera. The course was six hours, including an hours break for lunch and an opportunity to test out what we had learnt.
The course was very informative and the teacher, Matt, was particularly patient, with a large group of 13 people all struggling to work out the functions on their various cameras. We covered subjects such as aperture, shutter speed, white balance and metering and I feel I have come away with a much better knowledge, although I will need to get out there and practice my new-​found skills before I forget them!

GS not only is formed by a group of incredibly talented photographers, they also provide a magnitude of services and facilities including set design & build, styling, hair and make up artists, and a huge studio space which is also available to hire.
In addition their the extensive gamut of photographic skills, they also run several training courses, workshops and 1−2−1 learning options.
Courses are available in everything from basic getting to know your camera, to full on fashion editorial workshops.
