Not a great fan of the coffee here, always tastes bitter and burnt, and it’s a bit over priced. Still, if there’s a massive queue at the small batch stand outside the station and you can’t be bothered to go to Coho around the corner then this will be sufficient! It’s worth noting that there is no longer a trolley service in trains between Brighton and London, so if you want a coffee to have on your trip, you’re best to get it beforehand.

If you like dark roast beans you’ll hate this place. They use light brown beans in their espresso machine, that should tell you everything you need to know. For you milk based coffee drinkers that’s fine. But people that like black coffee the quality is poor. It’s just a utility caffeine distributor nothing artisan even though they try to present it as such.

Nice coffee. You don’t have to have a big coffee we small coffees which is nice if you don’t want medium or large. A very satisfying cup of coffee

Can’t say I was expecting too much from this little place, whilst whizzing into the station, about to board a long train journey, in need of my caffeine fix. In my experience, these places can be overpriced and underwhelming… but I must say, the coffee is of a great quality(on parr with small batch just outside the station I’d say) and the service is amazingly quick… they even still manage to serve with a smile and wish you a nice day. I know I shouldn’t be buying so many on the go coffees, but in the morning on my way to work, I just need one, ok. This is now my go to for my daily coffee habit(over Small batch… less queuing!) and they’ve started recognising me(always a sign you should probably get some self control and purchase a travel mug from tk max!) The food also looks fresh and damn delicious! Especially the filled croissants, which I will be giving a go when I’m next feeling naughty.

Handy little place to grab a tea or coffee before jumping on the train at Brighton Station. There is always a massive queue but the girls seem able to serve everybody exceptionally fast so there is never a long wait. I treated myself to an almond croissant on my last visit — fresh and tasty, a great carb hit for an early morning train ride.

I’m pretty sure anyone who’s lived in Brighton will have visited the Flying Coffee Bean at one time or an other, as its the best coffee available in Brighton Station. Unlike a lot of similar train station kiosks around the county the FCB doesn’t skimp on the quality of the coffee, or any or the other items for that matter. I heard on the grapevine that the kiosk has been so successful that the owners have opened an actual café somewhere in the city.

The Flying Coffee bean is a rarity in a lot of ways, not only for its selection of products, but for the quality of the coffee and the fast efficient service. Considering the FCB is a kiosk in a very busy station the establishment would popular even if the product and service was awful, it says something about them that they have taken time to make sure both are up to scratch. It is ridiculously popular so get to the station early if your looking to get something before you travel.

I admit it: I am a caffeine addict. Some people can get by with one or two cups each day. Me? I like to start the day with a cup of mud, end it with another and have anything from three to eight inbetween. It doesn’t matter if it’s Brazillian, Italian or Ethiopian though given the option I would always go for Columbian. I know, I should try to cut down but man, it tastes soooo good. The Flying Coffee Bean’s coffee is nothing like as good as Coffee @ 33 or The Daily Grind outside the station but when I’m in a rush and have to hop on the train in five minutes, it hits the spot.

Located as it is Brighton Station, this coffee shop operates as a useful place for travelers to grab a cup of coffee, or a water before embarking on, or after disembarking from their train of choice. The service is friendly and professional, and the prices are reasonable.

It’s pretty quick, it’s pretty cheap and it’s pretty tasty. The Flying Bean is a coffee stand plonked slap bang in the centre of Brighton train station, which is perfect when you want to grab a coffee just before your train departs. The staff are usually pleasant and you can become familiar with the prices and quality very quickly, which means if you’re a regular you can save precious time choosing on those days you’re running late. There is nothing that particularly stands out here, but it is probably the best choice for those looking for a coffee at the station.
