I visit Boots North Street Brighton and have been using them for the past 60 years. I have seen many changes but with David Milborrow Store Manager and his team of Toby, Louie, Rachell,Jasmine and the helpful Pharmacy Manager who I believe is Assitant Manager, the store is probably at his best. It is a pleasure to shop in this store or merely browse.
for those who have not yet visited this store I would invite you to do so.The staff are friendly and if there is a problem one of the management team will help you. All you have to do is ask for David, or one of the team.

This Boots is great, This Boots is fine, I think about Boots nearly all the time, It’s the place where I get what I want and need, Aftershave, razors and toiletries, Sometimes when I’m standing, waiting, feeling bored, I spray myself with Cool Water from Davidoff, I dream about the day I’m old enough to wear Old Spice, I’ll smell so masculine people will have to look twice, Then I hear the call of my girlfriend looking for me, It’s right about now I lose all of my money, Because she’s been speaking to a woman with too much makeup on, So I know it won’t be long, I just want to get gone, So I hand her my card and say«after this we go home», But before she can pay she checks her bag for vouchers, Maybe she’ll get £5 off? But her voucher expired yesterday. Idiot. We pay and I’m relieved to be heading home. The checkout person than gleefully informs us that she has a voucher with her receipt. Of course my girlfriend has to find something to spend it on. This Boots is so big that there is always something to spend it on. And so I head back over to the aftershave section for another 20 minutes.

My first port of call for most of my beauty, toiletry and medical needs, this branch of boots is situated at the top of North Street. It’s a pretty large branch for Brighton spanning over two floors. downstairs hosting the pharmacy, various beauty kiosks, perfumes and toiletries, where upstairs is home to baby stuff, sandwiches, the opticians and the bit where you get your photos developed(is that even a thing any more?) I usually choose Boots over any other store that sells perfume and beauty stuff, simply because I like to earn points when I shop, which in turn equals money to spend in store! I like to save up my points all year and then spend them on perfume etc at Christmas. The staff here are generally quite helpful, and the pharmacy staff are knowledgeable too. It does get pretty busy on Saturdays though, and all hell breaks loose there on the boxing day sales! It is a really good sale though!

The wider shop is great with every product you need and really switched on cosmetics staff but the pharmacy counter is horrible. Rude, slow and never have the full prescription meaning you have to make two trips. Security feels a bit ott in the wider store but in such a large place I can see why.

This sounds really nerdy but it’s my favourite Boots. It’s really big so it stocks all the makeup and moisturisers I like and the staff at the counters are really friendly and helpful. Also, the layout makes it easy to find what you’re looking for nine times out of ten. Only issue I have with it is that you lose that local feel that Brighton is famous for. Where Brighton is concerned, they’re too big for their boots.

Like most of my shop visits as of late, I came here to accompany my boss. She was looking for two things, and told me to remind her that she was looking for these two things: a suede brush and tweezers. To remember, I inputted the letters«SBT» into my head(suede brush, tweezers). As we were walking down the street, I blurted out«SBT». And I happened to blurt this out just as we were passing by Boots. So we entered Boots hoping to at least find the«T» in the«SBT». We did. They had a lot of tweezers, and my boss settled on some pink ones that came with a free sharpener. «You have to sharpen tweezers?» she asked. I shrugged my shoulders. This Boots is quite large, and there are a lot beauty products. You’ll find skin and facial creams, shavers, razors, toothbrushes, balms, ointments, balsams, unguents and other topical creams. And tweezers. You’ll also find tweezers.

Boots is a bit of a jack of all trades. Trying to cover all the bases doesn’t always work out terribly well. In trying to supply lunch, cheap cosmetics, expensive cosmetics, electrical items and anything else they can wedge into the shop space they don’t always end up offering the best value or range in any of these areas. There advantage card scheme is quite useful, especially since popping in to stock up on a few essentials can end up setting you back 60 quid. Generally speaking Superdrug does it cheaper, but support your local pharmacy too, they are oh so important!

I went to Boots because my current pair was pretty battered and people were staring on the bus. I was massively disappointed when I walked in and saw they only… Sorry, that’s absolute rubbish I am talking! Everyone in England knows what Boots sells, so I won’t bore you with those details. Suffice to say, this particular branch of the nation’s biggest and best chemist has everything you’d expect including make-up and cosmetics; perfume; optician; NHS health centre; baby clothes and toys; gift ideas and the list goes on. What I like best about Boots however, is their meal deal. For £2.99 you can have any sandwich, desert/fruit/crisps AND a drink, including Innocent Smoothies, which would usually make up half the cost. The selection of deserts and fruit may be slightly restricted by the offer, but this is a great way to get healthy food for very cheap. It’s especially good if you work in the area, as it is quick and easy. Additional bonus: buy five meal deals in one month and Boots Advantage Card holders are entitled to the sixth one free. Safe!

Everyone else goes to this two-storey Boots to stock up on shampoo, conditioner, hair dye, plasters, vitamins, bubble bath, shower gel, soap, tampons, sun lotion and other toiletries. I go to look longingly at the Benefit counter and try out all the divine lipsticks, eye shadows and face creams lined up in their gorgeous, retro packaging. I love the Dear John eye-cream but it’s the Bad Gal kohl black eye pencil I couldn’t live without!

This is one of the bigger and better Boots in Brighton. It has two levels and is massive. I believe it’s also open until midnight which is very handy.
