I must admit, I have nothing but praise for this shop. Sutuated in St Georges Rd Kemptown, just of the Seafront, the café is kept extremely clean and they have a good menu of light meals and snacks at fairly modest prices. The service is good and you don’t have to wait too long for your food. My favourite here is the Vege Breakfast and, for afters, they have a a range of deserts — many of them homemade.

This is a delightful little café located in Kemp Town. I find it to be the perfect location to enjoy a cup of coffee and a nice sandwich in a calm, quiet atmosphere. I find the clientele to be people who just want to enjoy a cup of coffee alone. When I was here, there were people like me who simply stared a hole into the coffee mug. There’s not a lot of things to distract you here. No fancy images, no sophisticated furniture. It’s just a nice little café for you to get a quiet break in between the more stressful periods of your day.

Alice’s Coffee Shop is a refreshingly old school little tea room is the heart of Kemptown Village. Its a nice change from all the stylized cafs that Brighton is full of. Its really quaint with lil net curtain and pastel colorings. The menu offers breakfasts, sandwiches as well as mains, they also do cheap as chip take out coffee and teas. Its a great place to grab and sandwich at lunch if you work in the area and cant deal with the queues everywhere else!

I had to review this place, seeing as they named it after me. Well, ok that might not be strictly true, but still. A visit here will transport you back a good few years, with its elderly clientele and lace curtains. There’s nothing particularly unusual or groundbreaking about what they do here, but it’s a good place for a coffee and a cake or sandwich. Sometimes, it’s nice just to not be cool.

Right in the middle of Kemp Town Village you’ll find this quaint little café with net curtains and floral décor. Its a refreshing break from all the über funky cafs that Brighton in laden with. I often pop in for a takeaway coffee(75p last time I checked) on way to sneer past the evil Starbucks down the road. Although frequented by little old ladies its a nice relaxing place for a home made cake or a no frills lunch. Just minutes from the seafront its a great stop for breakfast, or to grab a bacon bap to eat on the beach.
