The Arts Piazza arrived on Sussex campus amid a blaze of controversy; as part of the modernisation attempts that will see Dhaba and other café’s close, Piazza comes to make Sussex look a little bit cooler. In reality, nobody is quite sure who this café was for; students have resisted it in favour of old favourites like Hums and Bramber. The café is tasteful, designed with ceiling high window walls and a polished stone effect floor, it’s a perfectly fine place to take a break. Despite being possibly the second largest café on campus, it has an incredibly small amount of seating. This is a side detail really, the main fault is just that it feels somewhat lifeless and false.
