The tag line at Christopher Designs is ‘sofa’s for living’ which I think says a lot about this rather progressive small chain of sofa specialists who provide an entirely bespoke service to their customers.
I would like a really quirky chaise longue on which to read during the day. My sofa is not so comfortable in a reclining position and is positioned too far away from natural light to lend itself happily to a good old indulgent read when everyone else is either hard at work or has their head stuck into the TV tube satiating their gluttony for day time tele.
I would love a chaise longue to be positioned under my window and surrounded by tropical plants. The only problem is that it would have to be considerably shorter than any I have found available ready made… (although I think Ikea may do one, but I’m determined to avoid this option if I feasibly can).
I recently called in for a brief chat about the possibilities of having a sofa /​chaise longue made by these rather wonderful artisans, and was amazed by the amount of fabrics that they carry. The options for creating a sofa seem utterly endless! The only problem is that I have spent all of my money on my bedroom and kitchen over the last few months, and unfortunately a bespoke chais longue is definitely out of the question for the time being.
Hey ho… I’m just going to have to sneak off to bed for guilty mid-​afternoon reads until I can afford to do it different!
