Great pub with extremely friendly, quick, service. Good menu if, somewhat, normal for this chain of pubs. Nice in the warmer weather to sit outside with a pint, people watching. Believe me, there are some sights to see in Braintree

We spent one night and had dinner in this really beautiful historical building located right in the centre of Halstead, and had great food and drink, and nice, clean rooms with all facilities for VERY little money. The staff were very friendly. We’ve had a great time there and I’m sure I’ll be back. Loving it. I feel lucky to have found this place.

Top night out here, normally busy! Nice in the day for lunch, and beter in the evening for a boogie! Football is shown here, and has a great atmosphere. Can sit inside or outside. Located near Tesco, in the centre of Braintree. Not hard to find.
