Now I would be a BIG fan of my mums Sunday dinners but this place just cannot be beaten. The carvery here every Sunday is fantastic. Great value and you get very decent portions of a variety of food. In terms of the menu they have a decent selection of classic British style food, the type you mum may cook at home. The staff are always great, welcoming and friendly and we have been here with the extended family on several occasions, birthdays. I have yet to try the Christmas dinner here but I have been promised it livs up to the excellent standard they offer the rest of the year round.

This is a lovely place to go and is famous for its sunday carvery. The place is a restaurant with a bar separate. The restaurant part is a huge room with quite luxurious fittings and is very cosy. You should really book a table as it does get busy. The carvery is about £12 for a 2course meal which is either soup or melon for starter or prawn cocktail and then you get the carvery meal. The meal is served by friendly waitresses who bring all the veg and potatoes to your table with a very huge yorkshire pudding. You then go to the buffet and get your meat which is a good seletion of beef, pork, chicken and turkey — or you can have a slice of each which we do. The food is lovely and very filling — its traditional sunday lunch at its best. There is also a bar inside the restaurant for you to have a drink with your meal. They also serve christmas dinner which is more or less the same meal but you get a dessert too and a few extras to the sunday carvery like the sausages and cranberry sauce, etc. The christmas dinner costs £35 and isnt that much different to the normal sunday carvery but you do pay for their time with it being christmas day, also it means you dont have the worry of doing christmas dinner yourself so its well worth it.
The bar has a snooker table for you to have a game after your meal and a big screen tv.
The place is nice and clean and very tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The toilets are nice and clean too.
